Lockheed Martin Chooses Oakland Consulting as a Partner in Integrated Data Environment  -  6/30/2008     

Oakland Consulting has partnered with Lockheed Martin in Lockheed's Integrated data environment/global transportation network convergence program.  Oakland Consulting will support Lockheed in converging management of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) IDE and the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) GTN programs. IGC will establish common integrated data services to enable development of applications which will provide Combatant Commands (COCOM), Services, Department of Defense (DOD), and other Federal agencies a cohesive solution for the management of supply, distribution, and logistics information with a global perspective. 

Maryland State Judiciary Picks Oakland Consulting Group to Support Foster Care Court Improvement Project  -  6/23/2008     
Oakland Consulting Group was awarded a two year contract by the Maryland State Judiciary to provide network and database services in conjuction with the court's Automated Judicial Information for Children program.  Oakland Consulting will assist users with the various databases to ensure accurate and complete records for the State.
Navy Awards Oakland Consulting IDIQ Contract To Perform Support Services  -  5/30/2008     

Team Oakland-Seaport-e is lead by prime Oakland Consulting Group which has been awarded the NAVSEA multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle under SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e).  This IDIQ is for a wide range of engineering, technical and programmatic services and solutions for the SYSCOM (NAVAIR, NAVSUP, SPAWAR Strategic Systems Program (SSP) NAVFAC) as well as Commander, Naval Installations (CNI) and the U.S. Marine Corps.  SeaPort-e furthers the Navy's Seapower 21 objectives to increase efficiency and allows for tailoring services according to the needs of geographically dispersed organizations with significantly diverse product area requirements and missions.

Dana, Ltd. Uses Oakland Consulting to Provide Senior PeopleSoft HCM Expertise  -  5/16/2008     

Dana Limited, a large automotive parts manufacturing company based in Toledo, Ohio, has hired Oakland Consulting Group to provide senior  functional and technical PeopleSoft  8.9 HCM expertise to work with the CIO and his team in an oversight capacity.  Dana is currently upgrading its PeopleSoft HCM to 8,9 and the project is behind schedule.  Oakland was brought in for oversight and to provide the needed senior level expertise.  This work is expected to last four months at a cost of $250,000.

Oakland Consulting Teams to Win Oracle Advisory Services Contract with BTA  -  4/15/2008

U.S. Naval Hospital, IT Department Awards a New Contract to OCG  -  10/1/2007     
The Navy's ITMD department has awarded Oakland Consulting with a new contract on October 1, 2008.  The contract is for one year with two one-year options.  Oakland Consulting will provide help desk, networking, cabling and training to the NMCSD to support all ongoing, day-to-day operational technical support required by Navy Medical Center, San Diego, ITMD to meet the continuing, escalating, and expanding call center support requirements, in addition to cable technician, network support technician, patient care software trainer, and IT project management facilitator.  Oakland Consulting was selected to provide training for NMCSD personnel in the use of AHLTA, CliniComp, ADM and WAM applications.  Oakland Consulting's trainers conduct end user training in for following areas:  AHLTA orientation, patient appointment scheduling, booking/front desk, profiles and schedules, emergency room functions, clinical results/medication, order entry (nurses and providers).  Oakland Consulting's services include the development and testing of required training materials and the deployment of AHLTA training to the required NMCSD hospital user community.
Pacific Gas & Electric Awards SAP Change Management Contract to Oakland Consulting  -  9/17/2007     

PG&E awarded Oakland Consulting the Nexis Project SAP Change Management contract for work at its plant in San Luis Obispo, CAOakland will be responsible for the overall change management in support of the SAP project including the project change management program, organizational readiness, communication, SAP training and development of the SAP post go-live model.  Oakland Consulting will co-manage this project with a senior level organizational change manager from PG&E. 

U.S. Naval Hospital, San Diego, Awards New Contract to Oakland Consulting  -  5/17/2007     

Oakland Consulting was awarded a second contract to provide cable support for casualty care C5 at various buildings, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.   NMCSD requires technical/labor support for NMCSD’s cable plan to support the C5 NMCSD project. This includes but is not limited to the following: analyzing, planning, consulting, implementation/installation, testing, technical documentation, cabling schemes, maintenance and problem resolutions of NMCSD cabling/wiring (data/voice) cable infrastructure. In addition, a variety of new hardware upgrades and additions will significantly impact support workload. Oakland Consulting will also work with direction from the C5 infrastructure team. All cable within suspended ceilings will be neatly secured to proper supporting structures. Cables shall be installed no closer than 6 inches to the ceiling T-bar grid. Ceiling grid supports, sprinklers and ducting will not be used to support cables. In those areas without adequate support structures, contract employee will install "J" hooks. In any area in which a fire rated wall, partition, floor, or ceiling is penetrated, contractor will seal around all cables with UL classified and approved fire seal sufficient to return the structure to its original rating. The contract is from June 1, 2007 through November 30, 2007.

Oakland Consulting to Help Maryland Judiciary in Annapolis, MD  -  5/12/2007     
The Maryland Judiciary awarded a contract to Assyst to assist the Administrative Office of the Courts (“AOC”) in the development of functional requirements for, and evaluation of proposals for the selection of an integrated resource planning and management solution to replace the financial, procurement, and human resources systems currently in use.  Oakland Consulting Group, working with Assyst, will be providing ERP project management support.  The project will focus on the following:   transforming the results of a recent workflow analysis and a recommendations study into functional requirements appropriate for solicitation and selection of an integrated system solutio; performing initial market research and recommending potential vendors appropriate to the size of AOC’s operations and the scope of AOC’s needs; developing a comprehensive request for proposal (RFP) that includes both functional requirements and technical considerations to assure compatibility with the architecture being implemented by the judicial  information systems department; working with the AOC Procurement department to develop an effective set of proposal evaluation criteria and selection process; and identifying major customization, conversion, and implementation considerations including systems implementation and ongoing maintenance and support alternatives.

Deloitte & Touche Chose Oakland Consulting to Support Johnson & Johnson SAP Plant Migration Project  -  2/1/2007     
Oakland Consulting was chosen by Deloitte & Touche to support Johnson & Johnson with its SAP Plant Migration. Oakland Consulting's consultant is responsible for moving relevant assets and other data, transactions, and objects from one legal entity to another.  The project is in St. Louis, MO.
SAIC Asks Oakland Consulting to Work in DOT COMPASS Contract  -  2/1/2007     
Oakland Consulting will provide technical and security support services across various tasks as directed by the SAIC Program Manager in Fairfax, VA.
Oakland Consulting Group to Provide PeopleSoft Services to University of Maryland  -  1/3/2007     
Oakland Consulting will  provide Peoplesoft Student Financial Technical Consulting Service to University of Maryland, UC in Adelphi, MD in conjuction with Cedar Crestone.
HVAC Contract Awarded to Oakland Consulting Group at Naval Medical Center, San Diego  -  10/24/2006     
Oakland Consulting was awarded a contract to provide technical support for Naval Medical Center, San Diego cable plan to support the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) project.  The project includes, but is not limited to the following: analyzing, planning, consulting, implementation, installation, testing, technical documentation, cabling schemes, maintenance and problem resolutions of NMCSD (data/voice) cable infrastructure.  Oakland Consulting also works with the HVAC infrastructure team.
Oakland Consulting Awarded Second Columbus, OH DLA Contract after Successfully Completing BSM Review  -  10/20/2006     

Oakland Consulting has been awarded a contract subsequent to successfully completing the BSM review contract for the Defense Logistics Agency in Columbus, OH.  Under this contract, Oakland Consulting will provide support  within the BSM program in :      1. Specialized custom training specific to the DLA BSM solution;  2. Maintenance of the Application; and 3. Maintenance of the Technology/Architecture.

Oakland Consulting Group to Provide Desktop Support and UNIX Administration  -  7/27/2006     
Lockheed Martin has asked Oakland Consulting  to help provide agency-wide IT and infrastructure support services to the Centers for Medicare and Medical Services under the Consolidated Information Technology Infrastructure Contract (CITIC). CMS, an agency within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, provides health insurance for approximately 75 million beneficiaries through Medicare, Medicaid, the State Children's Health Program, and other health care quality assurance programs.   The Centers for Medicare and Medical Services have more than 6,000 government employees located in Woodlawn, MD, Washington DC and 10 regional locations and other satellite offices.  Oakland Consulting is partnering with CMS on key CITIC initiatives targeting efficiency of business operations, security and proper protection of assets and comtinuity of service.  Oakland Consulting has been providing desktop support and UNIX administration in Baltimore, MD under this contract since August, 2006.
Oakland Consulting to Work with Accenture on Health & Human Services Project in Reston, VA  -  5/4/2006     
Oakland Consulting Group in conjuction with Accenture will provide support in the demonstration of solutions in real-world health care environments maximizing the use of existing infrastructure.  Under this contract, Oakland Consulting  provided an Oracle APPS Database Administrator (DBA) to manage the development and maintenance of Oracle databases running on a Linux platform as well as procedures and tools required to support development and testing activities.  The DBA consultant understood application concepts and architecture and applied patches and performed installations.  He worked closely with the infrastructure, security, and technical architecture teams.  In addition, the DBA actively participated in, supported the build and provided detailed feedback on the developement, testing and evaluation of a functional prototype NHIN.  Oakland's consultant specfically supported the system's testing for Accenture. 
Oakland Consulting Won BSM Review Contract at Columbus, OH Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)  -  4/20/2006     
Oakland Consulting won the Business Systems Modernization Review contract at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Columbus, OH.  DLA is replacing its existing legacy systems with Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) software.  The primary COTS products used in the BSM solution are SAP R/3; 4.6.C as the core enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Manugistics; 7.2 software for planning, and the Sun Microsystems Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) software ICAN (formerly e*Gate).  The BSM solution consists of approximately: 1) 405 Extensions, 2) 304 Reports and 3) 439 Interfaces.  The BSM program is expected to reach Full Operational Capability (FOC) in March 2007.  The government currently shares BSM maintenance support with the BSM system integrator (SI), with the intent to transition maintenance responsibility to DLA at FOC.  However, in order to determine the necessary resource levels/skills that the government will require to support the BSM solution at FOC, a review and assessment of the critical key aspects of the BSM program must be performed.  Oakland Consulting was selected to perform an assessment of the following areas within the BSM program.  1. Staffing levels/skills required at FOC. 2. Maintenance of the Application.  3. Maintenance of the Technology/Architecture.
Naval Hospital Center, San Diego, CA Awards Oakland Consulting Contract for Day to Day Operational Support  -  10/1/2005

Oakland Consulting Wins BUMED Contract for MEDCIN Form and Template Development  -  9/28/2005     
Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) awarded a performance based contract to OCG to seek expertise in MEDCIN form and template development and management as well as assistance in the clinical and business integratio of CHCS II.  CHCS II was developed and deployed to meet HIPAA regulations for the documentation of healthcare encounters.  The project took place in San Diego, CA and Bethseda, MD.
Oakland Consulting Certified as LIABE/SBE by Port of Oakland  -  8/9/2005     
The Port of Oakland  certified Oakland Consulting Group as an LIABE (Local Impact Area Business Enterprise)/SBE (Small Business Enterprise) this month.  The certification expires on September 1, 2007. 
Oakland Consulting Has Been Nominated as One of East Bay's Top 25 Minority Owned Businesses  -  3/23/2005     
Oakland Consulting has been nominated to be one of the East Bay Business Times' top 25 minority owned businesses in Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties.  The award is for the 2004 companywide revenue figures for 2004 and the winners will be announced in the spring.
Oakland Consulting Nominated as One of the 100 Best Employers in East Bay  -  12/13/2004     
Oakland Consulting has been nominated in the East Bay Business Times' annual 100 best employers selection.  Each year the publication lists the best 100 companies in the Bay Area and this year Oakland Consulting has been selected as a nominee.  Winners will be announced early next year.
Virginia renews Oakland Consulting's MBE  -  10/19/2004
