Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. Welcomes Joanne Cabrera as Proposal Manager  -  11/2/2011     
Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. (OCG) is pleased to announce the hiring of Joanne Cabrera in the role of Proposal Manager. Ms. Cabrera will be instrumental in supporting new business initiatives for OCG.

As part of her work at OCG, Ms. Cabrera will respond to federal, state, and local requests for proposals (RFP's), including drafting questions; developing proposal schedules, proposal outlines and compliance matrices; coordinating and organizing proposal team, and all critical aspects of proposal production.

Most recently, Ms. Cabrera served as Proposal Manager of Optimal Solutions and Technologies and then Affiliated Computer Services. Ms. Cabrera brings to OCG not only her experience as a Proposal Manager but she has also performed for these companies as General Business Development Support.

Ms. Cabrera has a BA in Speech Communications from George Mason University and an MS in Information Technology from The University of Maryland University College. 


OCG Selected to Provide Oracle Learning Management Licensing and Support for the Prince George's County Public School System  -  10/13/2011     
Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. is proud to announce the sale of another Oracle Software Package, Licensing and Support to the Prince George's County Public School System. The additional year of support will amount to $500k in revenue over the years. With this award OCG continues its commitment to supporting the Prince George's County Public School System through the delivery of first-rate software to the administrators, teachers, and students. 
Matt Rhodes Joins Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. as Recruiting Manager  -  8/19/2011     
Matt Rhodes joined Oakland Consulting in August of 2011 as Recruiting Manager.  Matt has 15 years total IT recruiting experience and has most recently served in Recruiting Business Partner as well as Lead roles in addition to being a Senior Technical Recruiter.  Matt’s area of expertise is supporting government customers and IT projects, both civilian agency and DoD/Intel.  Matt received his Bachelor’s in Political Science from UCLA and his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers.
Brian Brunk Joins Oakland Consulting as Staffing Manager  -  8/15/2011     
Brian Brunk has joined Oakland Consulting Group as its Staffing Manager.  Brian has over 12 years of experience in the Information Technology field with a diverse background including recruiting, sales and project support services.  Brian's responsibilities include reviewing and recommending recruiting processes improvements, consultant maangement and contributing to the company's strategic planning.  Prior to working for Oakland Consulting, Brian was employed at Technisource.
General Services Administration Renews Schuled 70 IT Contract with Oakland Consulting  -  8/10/2011     
General Services Administration has renewed the IT Schedule 70 contract with Oakland Conssulting Group. The contract is for five years and includes consulting services, training and software sales.  The contract will expire oin 2016.
Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. Awarded $6.8 Million AESIP EAS Task Order  -  8/1/2011     
Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the award of a task order by Army Contracting Command - NCR to provide services in support of the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP). The task order has a total value of $6.8 million and has a term of 1 year plus one option year.

 The task order is in support of AESIP's continued design, development, and implementation of its SAP(c) ERP product line. The work under this task order includes all life cycle support services, including blueprint, design, development, test, sustainment, implementation and optimization services. OCG is proud of its selection for this task order and its on-going support as prime vendor on AESIP's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Application Services (EAS) IDIQ contract.  
Oakland Consulting Selected to Work on Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Tax and Revenue Project  -  8/1/2011     
Oakland Consulting has provided consultants to work with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Tax and Revenue project.   Our consultants have provided the Commonwealth with data management  with ETL, data analysis, data architecture, governance, archiving and administration,, public sector collections and disbursement developer as well as technical interface developers.
OCG, Inc. Wins Prince George's County Public School Renewal  -  8/1/2011     
OCG, Inc. is excited to announce the renewal of the Prince George's County Public School annual Oracle software maintenance contract. The contract value is $1.2 million and covers Oracle EBS software maintenance  and support.

OCG, Inc. is particularly excited about this award as it further strengthens an established relationship that it has with the Prince George's County Public Schools. This is our third onsecutive year of providing support to the school district. OCG partners with Prince George's County Schools on several projects and is proud of its continued commitment to support the school system and the community. 

Oakland Consulting Group Enters Mentor Protege Agreement with Accenture Federal Services  -  6/14/2011     
Oakland Consulting Group is proud to announce their acceptance into the much sort after Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protege Program. As a result of the diligent and relentless efforts of OCG President and CEO Cedric Nash, Accenture volunteered to enter into the Mentor and Protege relationship with OCG. The agreement remains in effect until June 2014. 

The DHS Mentor-Protege program is designed to motivate and encourage large business prime contractor firms to provide mutually beneficial developmental assistance to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns.  The program is designed to improve the performance of DHS contracts and subcontracts while fostering the establishment of long-term business relationships between DHS large prime contractors and small business subcontractors and strengthening subcontracting opportunities and accomplishments at DHS. The program is a huge value-add for small and large businesses, offering opportunities to build  win-win relationships and accelerate the development of small businesses.

NAVAIR Awards SAP Business Objects Services Contract to Oakland Consultng Group  -  6/6/2011     
NAVAIR Patuxent River NAS's Data Warehouse Analytical Reporting System (WARS) implmentation of Business Objects Enterprise requires services to enable the certification of the BOE login and pass the certificate credentials to the appropriate server database for authentication over the Navy Marine Corp intranet (NMCI).  Oakland won the contract to perform these services.
Oakland Consulting Group Wins $240 Million Dollar IDIQ Army AESIP I Contract for Support Services  -  4/18/2011     

The Department of the Army awarded a multi-year contract  worth up to $240 million to Oakland Consutling Group.  The contract will provide support services which will enable the Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP) to accomplish its mission goals.  

The  contract is an IDIQ contract to provide a wide range of services, business solutions and task orders which will make the components for the AESIP's $8 billion enterprise resource program landscape more efficient.   Oakland will provide business process automation; applications development; organizational transition, applications testing, operations,  maintenance & sustainment, and knowledge transfer services.   To improve the Army's internal ERP capabilities, Oakland will also support the Army's ERP Center of Expertise at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.

Oakland's premier team is  a partnership of SAIC, SRA, Optimal Solutions, Clarke House Technologies, Bridge Phase, New River Systems Corporation, Knowledge Consulting Group and Calibre Systems.   Oakland Consulting was awarded this contract along with Attain LLC and InSAP.

Tom Cornell Joins Oakland Consulting as Vice President and COO  -  2/7/2011     
Oakland Consulting has hired Thomas Cornell as its vice president and chief operating officer.  Tom brings Oakland his experience as a program manager at SAIC and at PRTM, a management consulting firm.  Tom also worked as a director at Defense Sector, a software chain manager.  After 20 years of service in both logistical and combat arms units, Tom retired from the U.S. Army  as a Lietuenant Colonel.  Tom holds an MA in history from Florida State Univesrity and a BS in Policital Science from the Unviversity of Rhode Island.
Cedric Nash, President and CEO of Oakland Consulting, Tapped to Participate in Panel Discussion  -  1/19/2011     
On February 11, 2011, Cedric Nash, Oakland Consulting Group's president and CEO, will participate in a panel discussion sponsored by the Information Technology Senior Management Forum.  The panel will explore the the current world of sourcing and vendor relations and identify best practices for sustaining successful relationships from both a public and private sector perspective.  The panel will also provide public sector insight in the processes associated with procuring technology and private company tactics/experiences related to successfully selling IT capabilities to the public sector.  Sponsors for the event include Freddie Mac, Proctor and Gamble, Whirlpool, RWD Technologies, and Vision IT.
Oakland Consulting Continues Practice of Donating to Non- Profits  -  1/19/2011     
Since its inception in 1997, Oakland Consulting has given part of its annual profits to worthy non-profit organizations.  In 2010 Oakland Consulting donated funds to the Del Monte Manor Neighborhood Networks Computer Center, a non profit subsidiary of Seaside, CA Civic League, Inc.   NNCC strives to make a difference in the building of its youth for the future.   Donations were also granted to Alpha Phi Alpha  Fraternity Scholarship Program which  gives scholarships to deserving college students, the Greater Victory Temple Scholarship Program in Seaside, CA, the Monterery, CA  Peninsula Commuinty Choir and the Prince Georges County, MD Mentoring Matters Partnership, Inc. for the Men on the Move Impact Summit.
General Leon Salomon Has Joined the Oakland Consulting Group's Advisory Board  -  12/3/2010     
Oakland Consulting Group is honored to have General Leon  Salomon added as a member to its advisory board.  General Salomon retired from active duty in 1996.  Prior to his retirement, General Salomon commanded the U.S. Army Materiel command.  After retirement from the Army, General Salomon was employed at Rubbermaid as vice president for purchasing and logistics and then senior vice president for procurement.  General Salomon currently is a logistics/supply consultant and serves on the boards of several companies.
Oakland Consulting to Support PA Tax and Revenue Department's Implementsation of SAP  -  11/5/2010     
Oakland Consulting Group in concert with Accenture will implement SAP for the State of Pennsylvania's Tax and Revenue Department.  SAP will replace a 20 year old legacy system which Revenue Secretary C. Daniel Hassell feared would crash and bring the entire revenue department to a halt.
Curam Sotfware Extends Contract with Oakland Consulting Group  -  10/28/2010     
Curam Software has extended its current contract with Oakland Consulting Group through November 4, 2011.  Curam Software is the leading provider of social enterprise management solutions, administrative software packages that allow agencies to manage the programs they administer.
Oakland Consulting Group Signs Master Service Agreement with Cummins  -  10/1/2010     
Oakland Consulting and Cummins have signed a master services agreement for Oakland Consulting to provide consultants to Cummins.  Cummins is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service automobile engines and related technologies. 
Prince George County School District Renews Oakland Consulting Group Contract for Oracle Software  -  8/25/2010     
Prince George County School District in Maryland has renewed Oakland Consulting's contract to provide Oracle software to the school district.  The software includes Application Server Enterprise, Express Server, Oracle iRecruitment, Warehouse Management and iProcurement.
Smithsonian Institution Awards Oakland Consulting ERP Contract  -  7/9/2010     
Oakland Consulting was awarded a contract by the Smithsonian Institution to upgrade its PeopleSoft Federal Financials, HRMS and Suppy Chain Management systems to version 9.0.  The contract was awarded fto Oakland Consulting with options making it a ten year contract.  Work will include planning, systems analysis, design, training, development, testing, deployment and operational support related to these systems.
Oakland Consulting Works with Regent Systems on DLA CFMS Project  -  7/2/2010     
Oakland Consulting is now partnered with Regent Systems to provide consultants to DLA for its CFMS project.  Oakland will provide data cleansing, data management and data migration.   CFMS is a joint initiative between DLA, the military and other organizations to provide a tightly integrated supply chain.
Oakland Consulting Awarded Contract to Work on DLA Energy Convergence Program with Accenture  -  6/30/2010     

Oakland Consulting will work with Accenture on DLA's Energy Convergence Project which is designed to bring DLA's energy supply chain business into the same ERP architecture as the one introduced with the business systems modernization.  These programs, using SAP, will enable streamlined operations and other procedure to reduce systems support cost.

Air Force Awards Contract to Oakland Consulting and Its Joint Venture Partner, Bering Straits  -  6/23/2010     
Oakland Consulting, along with its joint venture partner, Bering Straits, was awarded an IDIQ contract by the Air Force to provide Enterprise Planning System (ERP) implementation advice, as well as technical, functional, and managerial expertise to the Logistics Transformation Office (LTO).  This support will assist the LTO in reengineering the legacy Air Force Logistics processes based on current industry best practices and Oracle capabilities, mapping the new processes into the new Air Force’s logistics ERP system, the Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS).
Oakland Consulting Awarded Contract by Howard University for Oracle DBA  -  6/21/2010     
Howard University has contracted with Oakland Consulting Group for help in staff augmentation.  Oakland Consulting provided Howard with an Oracle DBA consultant who will establish, implement and suport the database infrastructure for all business information systems for the University.
Oakland Consulting President Receives Award from Minority Enterprise Executive Council  -  6/21/2010     
Cedric Nash, president of Oakland Consulting Group, was the recipient of an award for being one of 50 powerful men in business by the Minority Enterprise Executive Council at a luncheon held June 21, 2010.  Mr. Nash as chosen from a pool of public nominations from the ranks of professionals and entrepeneurs .
Oakland Consulting Group Selected to Work with Accenture on Army GFEBS Project  -  3/5/2010     
Oakland Consulting has been selected to work with Accenture on the Army GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) project built on SAP.  The system will standarize, streamlinhe and share critical data across the active Army, the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve.  There are 8 waves which include work at domestic and international sites.
Oakland Consulting Awarded Contract by USDA  -  1/7/2010     
The USDA awarded a contract to Oakland Consulting for a PeopleSoft consultant to serve as the functional and analytical expert for the agency on all matters related to the development, deployment, integration and maintenance of the National Finance Center's HR.  The contract has been awarded for one year with three 1 year options.

Army Awards SAP Software Licensing Contract to Oakland Consulting  -  9/30/2009     
On September 30, 2009, the United States Army awarded an SAP software and maintenance contract to Oakland Consulting.  The award was for peer to peer software and maintenance.
Oakland Consulting Group Now Oracle Software Reseller  -  9/28/2009     
Oakland Consulting is now a reseller for Oracle Software.  Oracle is the world's largest enterprise software company and offers software for every tier of business.  Oakland Consulting's partnership with Oracle gives Oakland more value to its customers.
