Alyce Dawson Joins Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. as Federal Account Executive

Oakland Consulting Group, Inc. (Oakland) announced today that Alyce Dawson has joined Oakland to initially lead Oakland’s work with the U.S. Army and then expand to other federal markets. Alyce will be based out of Oakland’s Headquarters Office in Lanham, MD. The Army represents one of Oakland’s most important clients. Oakland is an awardee of the 10-year $846 million ERP Services IDIQ contract, which Oakland sees as a significant opportunity to expand its Army work.
Alyce brings over 14 years of demonstrated success in operations management, program management and business development for various Army and National Guard organizations, most recently as Acting Director, Logistics Technical Solutions for CALIBRE Systems. Oakland Wins Contract to Provide Diverse IT Services to State of Maryland

Oakland Consulting Group (Oakland) was awarded a prime master contract by the State of Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) to potentially provide a wide range of IT support services to any public entity in the State. The services purchasing program is called Consulting and Technical Services+ (CATS+). The contract is effective until April 21, 2028, with a scope encompassing the following functional areas:
- Enterprise Service Provider (ESP)
- Web and Internet Systems
- Software Engineering
- Systems/Facilities Management and Maintenance
- Information System Security
- IT Management Consulting Services
- Business Process Consulting Services
- Media and Training Center Support
- Documentation/Technical Writing

Oakland Awarded Software Sale to Maryland State Department of Education

Oakland’s Software Value Added Reselling Division has won an order for SAP Software Annual Enterprise Support from the Maryland State Department of Education in a competitive bid. The contract will provide Business Objects Enterprise support for MSDOE’s users. Oakland is a Value Added Reseller/Wholesaler of SAP Software to the Government directly and to Systems Integrators. Mr. Jim Miller, Oakland Director of Software Value Added Reselling, noted “We are pleased to support Maryland Department of Education in meeting this need for increased enterprise analytics and reporting capability."

Oakland Headquarters Staff Provide Holiday Gifts in Prince George's County

As the 2016 year came to an end, the holiday spirit was clearly present at Oakland Headquarters. This year the Company provided holiday gifts for four families who were selected by Prince George’s County. Meg Tarulis, Oakland Senior Proposal Coordinator, did the planning, coordination and shopping with the support of other staff members. (Big thanks to everyone who could volunteer!)
Holiday cheer could be felt throughout Oakland as the staff members worked together to ensure each gift was wrapped with care. Once the packages were ready, the vehicles were filled and the staff packed in to deliver the items personally to the families.
After arriving at the families’ homes, to the families’ surprise, they opened the door and were greeted with toys and clothes especially selected for each child and an additional gift for the parents. The Oakland staff members returned to the Office the following morning with wonderful stories from their experience and of heartfelt appreciation from the families.
