The Work You’ll Do Under the Deloitte Project Team:
As an Income and Franchise Tax contractor within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will provide compliance services to a core client base. You will work directly with Deloitte tax engagement teams in state taxation by working on large, complex tax projects, and have access to exceptional specialists and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a technical review of corporate or partnership state tax returns and work papers with attention to multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, nexus, and unitary filings and flow through taxation.
- Performing reviews of estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings.
- Researching state tax legislation and assisting with impact on compliance.
- Collaboration with in-house Tax team
Qualifications:
Experienced Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years; experience preparing and/or reviewing state income and franchise tax returns.
- Experience with investment management taxation
- Active PTIN required to start the assignmen
Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2+ years; experience preparing and/or reviewing state income and franchise tax returns.
- Experience with investment management taxation
- Active PTIN required to start the assignment
Preferred
- Public Accounting experience
- Experience in OneSource, GoSystems and/or similar tax software and a strong interest in learning new technology.
- Excellent communications skills
- State Tax Analysis experience
- State Tax Planning experience
- State Tax Research experience
- Advanced Tax Technology experience
